Hippo Room 8 - Peaceful Double - Garden View

Had a walking weekend with a group of friends in the New Forest and the accommodation was perfect. Good parking, facilities, communication from the host, and location. I travel a lot for work and would definitely stay here again.

Positive: Easy to access great spacious room Negative: We couldn’t turn the heating off or turn the temperature down and there was a light flashing in the room above the tv assuming it was from the smoke detector but did make it difficult for me to sleep

We traveled some distance to visit my son, as we had not seen each other for some time. I Was not expecting a text at 10:30pm telling me that my room was for 2 and I should respect my neighbours and not have 4 people in my room. I apologised to my son and his fiancé and said I am sorry watching a movie in this accommodation is disrespectful, according to the text I have just received and you will have to leave. The accommodation did not say we could not have visitors and if I knew this was the case I would not have booked. The next morning I checked with the people next door, who said we did not hear a sound. Knowing we were obviously being viewed by the cameras and disapproved of made the stay feel unwelcoming.
